Here's the place to post your questions for Rory. A UK-based Mac developer who has wasted no time in turning out one of the leading RSS newsreaders on OS X, NewsMac Pro. It's feature rich and great company for Tiger.
Rory is relatively new to Mac development with a Java background which should be of interest to many listeners. He's got some great advice for making the transition and what you can expect.
Check out NewsMac Pro and send in your questions. Rory is offering 40% off until 15th October.

Hi Rory,
1. Is NewsMac Pro written in Java? If not (or in any case), what do think of Objective-C's retain/release memory management compared to Java's garbage collection?
2. What mistakes have you made in the making (and marketing) of NewsMac Pro, and if any, what have you learned from them?
3. Who made your icons?

Being new to Mac development, how did you climb the steep learning curve of Foundation and AppKit?

Rory,
Any comments / advice on starting a Mac software business in the UK? Any pitfalls others should be aware of?

I'd be interested in Rory's comments on interface and interaction design; how he went about deciding on big changes in the latest version.
Are there any comments on competing within the Mac market? We seem to have a fair bit of diversity, but this seems to be counter-balanced by the dominance of a single big app (NetNewsWire) in this case.
Does the small size of the market make it harder to strike out a market segment, or is the reverse true, that Mac users are more open to options?

1. How did that fire sale he did offering up NewsMac for 40% off went. Did a lot of people take up the offer?
2. What are your thoughts on NetNewsWire's acquisition and what it means to other RSS aggregators on the market?
3. What Tiger technology are you NOT using that you want to implement in the future.
4. As a developer, what's the biggest thing you want to see changed in terms of the environment (Cocoa, Xcode/Development tools, ADC, etc)
5. What's the coolest application (not yours) that you have downloaded latley?
